Sherman Lin and his Newsdays s e t u s a good example to display design onafullsense-yetina commercial way. It is also a great contribution they made to promote Chinese traditional culture in design.	Sherman Lin, the general managerof Guangzhou Newsdays Interior Desing & Construction Co., Ltd. and vice president of China Institute of Interior Design. He is graduated from Academy of Arts and Designs Tsinghua University and now he is a visiting professor of this college. He took his further education in San Diego States University in 1987 but he began his design career earlier in 1984. He has a lot of successful experience holding decoration and design projects of some large sized public architecture, many of his works won national and international prizes. As an elite in Guangzhou Newsdays, Lin Xueming along with other over 20 designers under his lead made a perfect	广州集美组室内设计工程有限公司总经理，中国建筑学会室内设计分会CIID 副会长。毕业于中央工艺美术学院艺术与设计专业，后任教于广州美术学院。又于1987 年赴美国圣迭戈州立大学进修。从1984 年起林学明就涉足室内设计行业。主持过多项大型公共建筑工程装饰设计，而多项设计作品荣获全国及国际大奖。作为广州“集美组”的领军人物，林学明带领以他为首的一批设计师二十多年来对室内设计行业与市场双向的探索与思考，将两者最高成效地融合在一起，才使得广东设计与市场结合得更加紧密，从而在全国打响了广东设计的品牌，也为整个设计界建立了设计与商业完美结合的成功模式。林学明以及“集美组”为中国设计师如何运用商业手法更好地经营设计，为如何在设计行业弘扬中国经典文化做出了杰出的贡献。	林学明 Sherman Lin
