几百年来，建筑师和室内设计师都在为人们设计适宜人类生存的居所。但是什么样的居住环境才是更理想的居住环境那？当然这可能仁者见仁智者见智，但是出色的建筑师或室内设计师，都是统一的整体性的去处理空间，使其更利于人们使用。事实也证明只有在整体上把握空间的分割，才能使空间更好的得到使用。
正如建筑大师弗兰克?劳埃德?赖特所说的那样，只有当一切都是局部对整体如同整体对局部一样时，我们才可以说有机体是一个活的东西，这种在任何动植物中可以发现的关系是有机生命的根本。整体和局部是相互补充、统一、协调的关系。没有局部就谈不上整体，但是没有整体的局部就像没有灵魂的人一样，索然无趣。
社交厨房是现代家居生活的一部分，它不仅仅是主人品味的体现更是主人交际必不可少的场所。在这里可以邀上三两好友，叙叙家常沟通感情，亦可以请上客户来一次厨房谈判。我想在这样轻松、愉快的环境中很多事情都能迎刃而解。
这也是本案例的设计的理念所在，整体家居—厨房社交。

Over hundred years, architectures and interior designers have been working on creating suitable residence for human beings. But what does an ideal residence look like? Everyone thinks in his way. The only certainty is the integration for better function.
As master architect Frank Lloyd Wright said, only when portion to the whole thing is same as the whole to the portion, we can say organism is alive. The whole thing and the portion replenish each other, and unify. A single portion without a whole integration is like a man without soul.
A social kitchen is part of modern family life, not only a refection of habitants’ taste but also a necessary social place. Friends gathering or customer entertainment is possible. Everything would run smoothly here.
This is the main concept in this case.
