社交厨房是以烹饪、交流、休闲、娱乐为目的的活动空间，是人们从紧张的工作状态回到家自制食物的放松空间，为人家人、朋友精心制作展示手艺的地方，因此厨房的设计应该符合现代人们的心理需求，创作出适宜的高品质厨房。
本方案打破传统厨房模式，厨房并不是隐蔽的小空间，而是把厨房设计成受人关注、清洁方便、与客厅联系紧密的开放空间，厨房的设计除烹饪的需求同时有餐桌、酒吧台、小型休闲区为一体的综合厨房，其整个房间台面、家具有一定的倾斜角度，面向客厅的延伸空间，更能让人们愿意走进厨房去烹饪、去交流、去体验社交厨房的魅力。设计的风格是以现代简洁为主，以表现厨房的干净明亮，同时还以灯光的魅力点缀吸引人们对厨房的饮食欲望。厨房内设有小型吧台，外窗的一半特制的木栅格，栅格上设有电视机，在厨房随时随地了解信息，烹饪观看两不误。白天的午后阳光通过木栅格照入酒吧台面上与人的身体上，再品尝着一杯红酒与正在烹饪的妻子聊天是十分惬意的时光。旁边设置小区域供人办公与读阅杂志的区域，如果烹饪时累了，可以在这小憩一会儿边看电视或电脑办公边蒸煮食物，不用因不在厨房担心食物会煮过。餐桌的设计是与制作台面为一体，其四周设有斐雪派克抽屉式冰箱，方便用餐时拿取食物，在旁边有常用的咖啡机、烤箱，有斐雪派克的抽屉式洗碗机，方便拿取和餐后的清洁，降低工作体力劳作。
