The goal of the Zhongzhao Prize is to award the enterprise and persons, which and who make a great contribution in science research, technological innovation, promotion and application of science and technology achievements in the lighting fields of our country or oversea; which and who make a great contribution in high-tech industrialization in the lighting fields of our country or oversea; which and who make a great contribution in the installation of lighting projects in the lighting fields of our country or oversea; which and who make a great contribution in the popular science education in the lighting fields of our country or oversea. Through these activities, the high quality technological innovations and lighting designs will be awarded; the quality and enthusiasm of the practitioners in lighting fields will be promoted; the understanding of the lighting quality in lighting fields will be unified; the lighting career will be well known by public. Moreover, the activities will lead lighting fields to develop in the direction of high quality and high added value.



The Zhongzhao Prize is awarded by Chinese Illuminating Engineering Society, which is the top award in national lighting fields approved by the department of National Science and Technology Awarding. This year is the fifth session. The process includes submitting an application by the lighting enterprises and companies, being qualified and voted by experts group organized by CIES, final being approved by Qualification Evaluation Committee of Zhongzhao Prize, and posting results publicity by media. No substantive disputes arise. There are forty-eight projects are awarded Zhongzhao Prize this time.
“ Shanghai Hongqiao Transportation Hub” designed by FLSI was awarded the first-class prize.
“The Shanghai Expo Center” designed by FLSI was awarded the second-class prize.
“ The Night View Project of Jinan Daming Lake Reconstruction” designed by FLSI was awarded the nominee prize.
