Philip Fung
Philip is the founding principal of Elsedesign merging architecture, exhibition and research.
Philip holds a Master degree of Architecture from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and has worked with Yungho Chang in Beijing and Herzog & de Meuron in Basel from 2002-2006.
Elsedesign won several national design awards include 2007 Shanghai Young Architects Award 2nd prize, 2010 Finalist in Nanao Memorial Design Competition, 2011 Finalist in Affordable Housing Competition in Shenzhen, 2012 Merit Prize for the Spatial Design at Hong Kong Global Design Award.
As curator, Philip curated the first 40 under 40 architects exhibition in Shanghai and Shenzhen-Hong Kong Bi-city Biennale (Chongqing station). In 2011, Philip was the Hong Kong curator at the 10 years of Chinese Architecture at Guangzhou and SZ-HK Bicity Biennale U station exhibition. In 2012 Philip curated the Mada sketch exhibition at Hong Kong and currently working on the Un Natural design and exhibition.
Philip previously taught as guest professor at Nanjing University, Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts, Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and was an associate professor of Cheung Kong School of Art and Design, Shantou University from 2008-2011. Currently Philip is the Adjunct Assistant Professor at School of Architecture, The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
